May you have a wonderful Thanksgiving! Don't just thank the Lord for the countless ways that He blesses you on Thanksgiving Day but may it be your way of life. Living a life of gratitude shapes your worldview for the better.
As our nation votes and election results are announced next week, we will know who will be the president for the next four years. This is a great opportunity to see if you can thank the Lord regardless of who wins. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 tells us to "give thanks in ALL circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you" (emphasis is mine). Understanding that God is in control of everything, even the election results, is a comfort. If anything, I can thank Him for being sovereign and doing His will knowing that it ultimately will be for His glory.
